Day 1. Addis Ababa city tour
Arrival in Addis Ababa. City tour if possible depending on the schedule of the arrival flight.
Day 2. Bahir Dar (B-L-D)
Early morning, fly to Bahir Dar (1hour). Boat ride Lake Tana to visit Island Monasteries. Visit Blue Nile Falls (35 km by car).
O/N Lodge.
Day 3. Bahir Dar – Gondar (B-L-D)
Drive Bahir Dar to Gondar (185 km). After visit the palaces of King Fassiladas, the Bath of Emperor and Debre Birhan Selassie Church. Visit Ploughshare Women Crafts training center in a Falasha village if possible.
O/N Standard 3* Hotel.
Day 4. Gondar – Axum (B-L-D)
Fly Gondar to Axum (1 hour). After Arrival, visit around Axum archeological sites and Tsion Church.
O/N Standard 3* Hotel.
Day 5. Axum – Lalibela (B-L-D)
Fly Axum to Lalibela (1 hour). Afternoon visit the first group of Rock Hewn Churches (Bet Medhane Alem, Bet Mariam, Bet Golgotha, Bet Mikael and Bet Giyorgis).
O/N in standard 3* Hotel.
Day 6. Lalibela (B-L-D)
Morning trekking 2h from Lalibela to Ashetn and visit Ashetn Maryam church. Back to Lalibela by horse. Afternoon Visit of the second group of rock hewn churches (Bet Amanuel, Bet Merkorios, Bet Abba Libanos, Bet Gebriel and Bet Rafael).
O/N in standard 3* Hotel.
Day 7. Lalibela – Addis Ababa (B-L-D)
Fly back Lalibela to Addis Ababa. Free time for shopping, having a walk or further visits of sights. In the evening, Farewell-dinner with presentations of traditional dances.
End of the trip. Departure.
