Day 1. Addis Ababa city tour
Arrival in Addis Ababa. Welcome by the company guide.
After checking in Hotel, visit the sights of Addis Ababa : The Trinity Cathedral, the National Museum, Entoto Mountains, St. George Church and the Mercato, the largest open air market in East Africa (depending on your arrival time in Addis Ababa airport).

Day 2. Addis Ababa – Mekele – Gheralta (B-L-D)
In the morning, flight to Mekele (1 hour). After arrival, short city tour. Lunch. Afternoon, continue to drive to Hawzien.
On the way, visit 2 Tigrayan rock hewn churches.

Day 3. Gheralta – Axum(B-L-D)
Morning visit of one rock hewn church. Afternoon, drive to Axum. On the way, visit Yeha Temple.

Day 4. Axum (B-L-D)
Visit the historic and religious sites in the city of Axum: the stelae field, the historical museum, the ruins of the palace of Queen Sheba, the underground tombs of Kaleb and other kings and the Church of Our Lady of Zion with their treasures.

Day 5. Axum – Gondar (B-L-D)
Drive from Axum to Gondar (365 km by asphalt road).
On the way, visit scenery, landscapes, Tekeze gorges, Ploughshare Women Crafts training centre in a Falasha village.

Day 6. Gondar City Tour – Bahir Dar and Blue Nile Falls (B-L-D)
In the morning, visit the Palaces of King Fassiladas, the bath of Emperor, Debre Birhan Selassie Church. Afternoon drive to Bahir Dar.
On the way, visit Awramba village. Late afternoon, arrival in Bahir Dar.

Day 7. Bahir Dar and the Lake Taba (B-L-D)
In the morning, visit the Blue Nile Falls in Tiss Isat near Bahir Dar. This excursion includes a walking tour of approximately one hour.
Later return back to Bahir Dar. Afternoon, boat excursion on Lake Tana, to visit some of the monasteries and churches which are found on the islands and peninsulas and which are well-equipped with religious relics and arts.
In the afternoon return to Bahir Dar.

Day 8. Bahir Dar – Lalibela (B-L-D)
Flight from Bahir Dar to Lalibela. Transfer to the town and in the afternoon, visit of the first group of rock-hewn churches, the famous UNESCO Heritage site of Ethiopia, unique in the world.
The fascinating churches are important testimonies of early Christianity and the culture of ancient Ethiopia.

Day 9. Lalibela rock-hewn churches (B-L-D)
Morning drive to 40 km from Lalibela, visit Yemrhankristos cave Church. Afternoon, visit the second group of rock-hewn churches of Lalibela.

Day 10. Lalibela – Addis Ababa (B-L-D)
Transfer to the airport of Lalibela and domestic flight to Addis Ababa.
The afternoon is free for shopping, walking and visiting more sights in the city. In the evening, traditional farewell dinner with traditional dancing presentations.
