Superb trekking in the Simien Mountain National Park.

The Simien Mountains are often called “the roof of Africa” where are located 20 peaks towering to heights above 4 000 meter. The mountains are lush and green.

You will discover fantastic landscapes with breathtaking views and unique endemic fauna and flora as Gelada Baboon, Ibex Walia and Giant Lobellia.

The Simien is considered as a trekking paradise. The Simien escarpments have been elected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

You will be accompanied by a cook who will prepare all meals. Some mules will escort you to ensure the transportation of all luggage and equipment.

You will visit the historical town of Gondar called The Camelot of Africa.

Best period for this tour : dry season, October to May
Need to acclimatise : altitudes above 3 000 m
You should be ready to be on your feet for long time periods (6-8 hours per day and more when you will go on the Ras Dashen peak).
You will use good trails which are the paths used by local people when they travel between their villages.
