The Western part of Ethiopia, large tracts of which remain wild and little known, has yet to be fully appreciated : it boasts café plantations, tropical forests and friendly populations who have also managed to preserve century-old traditions.
The western part of Ethiopia contains abundant natural resources as lush forest, vegetables, fruits, coffee. Coffee was discovered in this region and grows still today abundantly. You will discover the famous Bebeka coffee plantation.
You will have the opportunity to meet some of the more remote ethnics groups of Ethiopia : the Surma famous for lip-plates, the Anuak and Nuer famous for their scarifications, the Kefecho, the Dizi tribes and the Gumuz, the local people from Benishangul, with their amazing musical instruments.
