Modern and reliable vehicles
Ethiopia Tropical Tours owns and operates the most modern and well suited vehicles for all our tours and excursions.
Our vehicle fleet consists of comfortable 4 x 4 Toyota Land cruisers and buses. These vehicles are built specific and perfectly suited to the terrain related to this industry in different parts of the country and other destinations.
Our vehicles are maintained and operated by a team of dedicated individuals (drivers and technicians) to maintain our high safety and comfort standards. This team is an attraction in itself. They are hospitable and we continue to train and keep them up-to-date with the ever changing developments in the tourism industry.
Our Coaster buses and mini buses can access almost every road in the country. These light medium-sized buses are the ideal vehicles for smaller groups and longer overland travels and excursions; they offer both comfort and carry a larger group of individuals. They come in different sizes and other comfort options.
Ethiopia Tropical Tours : a unique human adventure

Founder of the travel agency back in 2005, Million spent years criss-crossing the length and breadth of the country as a guide for tourist groups, documentary film crews or NGOs.
He learnt to appreciate Ethiopia’s manifold treasures in the process and acquired an unrivalled knowledge of it by travelling up and down the country.
The agency was born out of these experiences.
As an amateur photographer with outstanding local knowledge, Million is the key person if you want your Ethiopia trip to be a success.
It was quite by chance that I started to get involved in 2009, thanks to the financial crisis and after many years spent globe-trotting. As someone who loves history and travels, I criss-crossed the length and breadth of Ethiopia the same year… I decided to stay and settle in.
Ethiopia’s epic history, beautiful landscapes, and the kindness as well as generosity of her inhabitants captivated me, whilst I travelled back and fro between Africa and Europe.
In parallel to reprioritizing my work commitments in Europe, I set on a daring enterprise : to work in “tourism in Ethiopia”. Getting to like it more and more, I then decided to dedicate my whole time to it. I too travelled many thousands of miles throughout the country.
I ended up marrying Million, and share with him the same passion for Ethiopia and for travelling through Ethiopia Tropical Tours.
Ethiopia Tropical Tours is a travel agency now consisting of a specialist team of 5 people.
We offer a dozen or so trips across the whole country. All our tours can be tailored and departures can be arranged to suit your needs.
